Bellevue Children’s Academy, an educational institution founded by visionary educator Yuka Shimizu. From its origins as an afterschool learning center, the academy expanded under Ms. Yuka’s leadership in 2000 to become a comprehensive day school. Central to our ethos is a robust emphasis on a math and phonics curriculum, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence.
At Bellevue Children’s Academy, the team was unwavering in the dedication to fostering individual potential and achieving educational distinction. Anticipating the imperative of high-quality education beyond elementary levels, BCA unveiled Willows Preparatory School in 2014, situated on a sprawling 15-acre campus in Redmond. This strategic expansion underscores the triumph and demand for our educational approach, tailored to middle and high school students.
In 2019, our innovative curriculum and unwavering commitment to academic excellence caught the attention of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a renowned network in the educational realm. Recognizing our merits, ISP welcomed us into their esteemed network, opening up exclusive global learning prospects for BCA students and fortifying the credibility of our educational framework.
Looking to the future, Bellevue Children’s Academy remains steadfast in its core philosophy, now amplified by an advanced curriculum approach across all grade levels through the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
