Our interim Head of School
Polly Anna Parker, PhD, is an educational leader with over 15 years of experience in managing and enhancing successful academic programs in the U.S. and abroad. Known for her strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style, Dr. Parker brings a wealth of experience to Bellevue Children’s Academy.
In her most recent role as Superintendent of Escuela Americana, Dr. Parker led the school in expanding its academic offerings and strengthening its community ties, while ensuring a high standard of student achievement. She previously served as Head of School at Chase Collegiate and The Winston School, where she implemented innovative curriculum improvements that were aligned with student needs and contemporary educational practices.
An advocate of forward-thinking education, Dr. Parker was an early adopter of virtual learning and has also taught as a Professor at Saint Leo University, where she developed group learning techniques and distance learning courses that have been widely adopted.
Dr. Parker holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She completed executive leadership programs at Wharton and Columbia University. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid adventurer, having conquered the London Marathon, Kilimanjaro, and the Inca Trail.
